Link: The Key Figures That Define Oklahoma City’s OAK Development

OAK is a 20-acre mixed-use development in Oklahoma City launched over a 15-year build process, and highlights the “key figures” that shaped its success. It discusses how the developers generated over 500 site plan iterations, assembled 40 separate land parcels, and drew lessons from 10 leading mixed-use projects across the U.S. They also held more than 100 community meetings to engage neighbors and build trust. The first phase includes 135,000 ft² of retail, a 7,000 ft² greenspace, a 132-room hotel, and 320 multifamily units, with further retail and Class-A office space to come. Early operating metrics are strong: retail tenants are outperforming projections (some by over 70 percent), and the development is on pace to attract 1.75 million visitors annually.
