NYT: U.S. Will Pay to Add Solar Panels to Hospitals, Schools After Disasters
January 30, 2024 FEMA announced it will start to pay forĀ the installation of solar panels on schools, hospitals and other public buildings rebuilt after national disasters. This will allow the buildings to be more robust against future disasters while simultaneously reducing greenhouse gas emissions. As weather disasters keep mounting the agency will be using federal dollars to expand renewable energy and create energy independence. https://www.nytimes.com/2024/01/30/climate/fema-renewable-energy-disasters.html
