Link: Kingsbridge Armory redevelopment is an engine for Bronx economic growth

The long-vacant Kingsbridge Armory in the Bronx is set for a major redevelopment, one of the largest adaptive reuse projects in the U.S. Approved by Mayor Eric Adams and Governor Kathy Hochul, the plan includes 450 units of permanently affordable housing and 25,000 square feet of community, cultural, and educational space.

Led by Maddd Equities and Joy Construction, the project aims to transform the historic site into a hub for high-tech industries like semiconductor and pharmaceutical manufacturing. With strong infrastructure and a large local workforce, the Armory could become a key driver of economic growth and job creation in the Bronx.
