Link: EPA Moves to Cancel $7 Billion in Grants for Solar Energy

The Trump administration is planning to cancel $7 billion worth of federal grants which were supposed to go to groups helping hundreds of thousands of low-income families install solar panels or otherwise expanding community solar access. These groups included everything from state agencies, nonprofit groups, and Native American tribes. This is a continuation of the president’s attempt to reverse many of the grants awarded by President Biden’s 2022 Inflation Reduction Act; so far $20 billion of the $27 billion awarded in climate grants by the bill has been canceled.
