With past housing negotiations stalled, experts say stronger action is needed possibly modeled after Massachusetts’ MBTA law or NYC’s “City of Yes.” Having proven she can lead on tough issues like congestion pricing, Hochul must now show the same resolve on housing to deliver lasting affordability and growth.
